CRUSH HER (with subtlety)

A little known early draft of The Seagull ends prematurely, in the Third Act, when Nina runs to Trigorin's arms and his awesome manly writer strength crushes her tiny skull. Yakovlev can be seen alluding to this here in Yuli Karasik's 1970's version Chayka (The Seagull) which I recently enjoyed via a friend's youtube account.

Eventually Chekov added the fourth act wherein Trigorin crushes her with more subtlety.
